An interview with Jimmy Seibert: The vision becomes a reality

This is the second in a four-part series about Jimmy Seibert, a college ministry legend who started a worldwide movement.

Last week, in part one of this series, I introduced you to Jimmy Seibert and talked with him about some key pivotal pieces in seeing a movement happen.

This week I’m going to talk with Jimmy about teaching the basics of discipleship in order to change the world.

“You don’t have a leadership problem; you have a discipleship problem.”

For over 20 years now, I’ve had a front row seat as the Antioch movement has grown deep and wide and this statement has been one of our core mantras all along. Because this much is true: Every movement starts messy.

Great ideals don’t come easy and healthy leaders can be hard to come by. But the reward is worth the risk, as we’ll discover in part two of our interviews with Jimmy Seibert.

Tune in to part three to hear me talk with Jimmy about the impact of college students on the local church.

You nailed it when you said we don’t have a leadership problem, we have a discipleship problem. We are making disciples on college campuses in Dayton, Ohio through AIA… and seeing the spiritual fruit. Crazy how the Jesus way works! haha Thanks for sharing your journey and the vision God has given you many years ago.
