Jill Fuhs
Field Strategy Coach and Training Consultant, Cru, Orange, CA
Having trusted in Christ in high school, Jill went to college looking for a Christian group and was introduced to Cru and, more importantly, the Great Commission, setting her life on an exciting new trajectory. She graduated from The Ohio State University and had a short-lived career as a Pharmacist before giving in to the pull of vocational campus ministry. She recently celebrated 25 years on staff with Cru, 10 as a Campus Director. Over those years she has experienced a wide spectrum of ministry situations in a variety of places including a year in Lithuania. She saw movements start from scratch at UW-Whitewater in WI and Chapman U. in CA. And she saw movements grow, some by leaps and bounds, at UCLA, Ohio State, UW-Madison and the U of MN. She considers herself to have had the good fortune of being in the right place at the right time on many occasions, affording her the opportunity to watch and learn from some of the “sages” of campus ministry. She is motivated to see people trained in ministry skills as well as the strategy and philosophy of campus ministry. She has produced video training for Cru that has been used by campus leaders across the country. She is currently the evangelism trainer at Cru’s Spring Break conference throughout the month of March. For the last 19 years she has been privileged to lead with and learn from her husband, Bob. Both Midwest transplants, they are happy to have forsaken the frozen tundra for the beauty and warmth of Southern California.
